Community Correspondence about COVID-19
Our Centre continues to closely monitor the evolving novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in Australia and overseas.
If you are unwell, please do not come to the Centre
COVID-19 shares many symptoms with other flu-like sickness. Many people who contract the virus will suffer only mild symptoms, although early indications are that the elderly and people with pre-existing medical conditions are more at risk of experiencing severe symptoms. The most common symptoms reported include:
- Breathing difficulties such as breathlessness
- Sore throat
- Fatigue or tiredness.
Further information on the virus can be found at the Victorian State Government Health and Human Services Website https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorian-public-coronavirus-disease-covid-19
If you develop symptoms and have returned from a country or region that is at ‘higher’ or ‘moderate’ risk for COVID-19, you should isolate yourself immediately and urgently seek medical attention. It would be appreciated that if you believe that the symptoms could relate to COVID-19 in any way that you contact us on 9876 4381 immediately for a confidential discussion.
If you have any questions in relation to this communication please contact us. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding of our effort to keep our community safe.
