The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions is offering scholarships to help people pursuing a rewarding career as a pre-accredited trainer in Learn Local settings across Victoria build their expertise in supporting adult learners with language, literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy.

What will you learn?

The TAESS00026 Skill Set develops practical skills to identify and support your learners' needs across language, literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy — skills you can start using straight away in your day-to-day work.

The TAE Skill Set includes three units:

• TAELLN421 — Integrate core skills support into training and assessment
• TAELLN422 — Use foundation skills resources, strategies and advice
• TAELLN423 — Integrate employability skills support into training and assessment

Completed in just 5 days

The TAE Skill Set is intensive but brief - classes completed in just five days with a flexible delivery format designed to fit around your life:

• Days 1–3 — Live online via Zoom, so you can join from wherever you are
• Days 4–5 — Face-to-face in a classroom

No months of ongoing study, minimal disruption to your work and personal life, and new skills you can apply straight away in your training sessions.

Delivered in Melbourne metro and selected regional areas across Victoria

Earn $2,000 when you complete the TAE Skill Set

Your course fees are covered by the scholarship — and on top of that, you'll receive a payment of $2,000 upon successful completion.

It counts towards further qualifications too!

If you want to keep studying, these three units count as credit towards the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment — and we also have scholarships available for the full TAE40122, so financial support is there if you decide to take that next step.
