Park Orchards Community House & Learning Centre Incorporated is seeking an Executive Manager to join our team.
Classification: NHACE Agreement 2016 Schedule 2B Level 7-8 negotiable, depending on experience.
Hours: 30 hours per week, negotiable.
The Executive Manager is responsible to the Board of Management for the operation, financial management, and development of the Organisation and for ensuring that the Organisation operates in accordance with the Organisation’s Constitution, Board’s policy decisions and the funding body’s service agreements. This role will provide leadership, development, and management support across a broad range of community programs including childcare, our Registered Training Organisation, Learn Local and community engagement.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
The Executive Manager will be a highly experienced and motivated senior manager with a passion for community development, efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
demonstrated people management and development skills including role design, performance development, mentoring, coaching and management, conflict resolution and communication.
well-developed program/service development, planning and evaluation skills and experience.
demonstrated collaboration and problem-solving skills – including ability to contribute to the strategic decision making of the organisation.
high level administrative, organisational and negotiation skills.
proven organisational ability with experience of managing a community organisation.
the capacity for collaborative leadership and management of staff and volunteers.
command of community development principles and practice.
the ability to represent, and advocate for the organisation and the community in a highly professional manner.
an understanding of community education principles and current trends.
capacity to work effectively with and resource a volunteer-based Board of Management.
the ability to identify community needs and to plan, develop, monitor, and evaluate high quality programs to meet those needs.
highly developed written and oral communication and computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft software
- The ability to relate well to people from a variety of backgrounds including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with a disability, those on low income or unemployed, and elderly people.
